To support our ambitions and ensure a strong legal foundation, we are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to protect our business interests in contract management, privacy & data protection, and intellectual property.

As the in-house Senior Legal Counsel reporting to our Finance Director, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to enable Madbox’s creativity to shine in a secure and structured environment.

You will play a central role in protecting and scaling Madbox’s business by streamlining legal processes to support growth and scalability and raising legal culture awareness, both internally and externally, to promote best practices and industry standards.

Your future responsibilities and scope:

• Build streamlined legal processes for contract review & drafting to accelerate decision-making
• Ensure all IP rights are properly secured and protected
• Ensure compliance with global data protection regulations across all our games while meeting business needs
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with partners (UA & monetization partners) and other third parties
• Provide legal guidance to Finance, HR, Product, QA, and Operations on contracts, IP, and risk management
• Handle disputes, and implement best practices to minimize legal risks
• Develop internal policies, conduct training, and maintain legal documentation
• Represent the company in legal discussions on gaming regulations and IP protection

The profile we are looking for:

• 4-6 years of experience as an in-house Legal Counsel or lawyer working with corporate clients
• Master’s Degree (Master 2) in Law, preferably in Business Law, IP Law, Tax Law, or Digital Law
• Ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, concise, and actionable advice for non-legal stakeholders
• Experience in designing and implementing legal processes/tools based on real needs
• Efficient written and verbal communication skills: concise, impactful, and reassuring
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, balancing urgency vs. importance to allocate the right level of effort to each matter
• Project management skills and ability to structure workstreams, set priorities, and collaborate on / facilitate cross-team projects

Nice to have:

• Bar qualification (CAPA - Certificat d’Aptitude à la Profession d’Avocat).
• Knowledge of the mobile app industry (user acquisition (UA), privacy regulations, etc.)
